Currently the use of the dual monitors has become quite common. Often an external monitor is connected to that of a laptop to serve wide varieties of purposes. However, in any of these cases, setting up the monitor resolutions in the right manner is very essential because if the resolution is not set up correctly, it can lead to several video problems. Well, you can change monitor resolution only when you have connected the external monitor to your laptop.
• The very first thing that you must know that you would be able to use only that resolution that is supported by the monitor of your laptop. On the basis of that, you would be able to decrease or increase screen resolution.
• The screens of the laptop always support higher resolutions and they can work best when they are in the precise resolutions.
• If the screen of the external monitor is wide, it would support higher resolutions.
• You would have to open the screen resolution option on the start button and then click on the adjust screen resolution option.
• When you want to change monitor resolution, you would have to click the option of extend these displays from the drop down list and this would be followed by the ok option. This option would not have been available if your windows had not supported more than one monitor.
• You would get plenty of options for setting up the resolutions. If you want to increase the resolution, then you would have to click on the increase screen resolution followed by ok. This would automatically increase the resolution from the normal resolution.
When you change monitor resolution of your extended monitor that has been connected to your laptop, you can make the text look much crispy and clear. This would definitely make it easier for you to read the text. You actually need to change or rather adjust the resolution because when you connect an external monitor, it might not always take one of the best resolutions in which it definitely looks one of the best.
